Q: Where are your shutters manufactured?
A: Our adjustable louvre shutters - both timber and aluminium - are made here in Cape Town. Our aluminium roller shutters are extruded in Cape Town and Europe. The raw extrusions are shipped in fixed lengths, and made to order and powder-coated in Cape Town.

Q: How long does the installation take?
a) Our manufacturing time is predictable. We guarantee a *lead time of 10-14 days for the aluminium shutters and 21-28 days for the timber shutters.
b) Installation varies depending on the project size and specifications. The exact time needed for the installation will be confirmed on order, but the installation will generally be completed within a week of delivery to site.
We pride ourselves in our quick turn-around, and we make good on our commitments.

* lead time = the time from payment of the deposit and confirmation of site readiness and final measurements, until date of delivery of the uninstalled product.

Q: What is the guarantee on your products?
A: Our aluminum products carry a ten-year guarantee. Motors imported from France, come with a five-year guarantee. Timber products also have a 5-year guarantee.

Q: Is there a lot of mess involved in the installation?
A: Our installation teams work in finished homes as well as building sites. They work neatly and have the latest power tools and dust extraction systems to ensure minimal mess. When we leave, you will not notice we have been - except of course for our amazing shutters.

Q: What product comes most highly recommended?
A: The motorised aluminium shutters are recommended for closing off a section of the home to create a safe haven and are one of our bestsellers. In addition, the adjustable aluminium security shutters used throughout the rest of your home for aesthetics and enhanced security are also a highly recommended option and are very popular.

Q: What are my colour choices for your products?
A: For all the aluminium products there are five standard colours. The most sought-after is white, which has the fastest lead time of ten working days. The other four standard colours are available at no additional cost, with the lead time extended by five days. We can also accommodate custom-colours with an additional surcharge, and the lead time may be extended.

Q: Can I get a quote over the phone or internet?
A: Yes. We will be able to provide a reasonable pricing estimate if we have enough detailed and accurate information. Our quotes are honest, and there are no hidden costs. Bear in mind, that the final pricing may change if measurements were inaccurate or if there is a design variation, e.g. if more leaves (component parts to the shutter) are required for an opening than was initially specified.

Q: Can I use the shutters outside?
A: Yes, for our aluminum products, which are engineered for inside and outside use. A small amount of light cleaning and maintenance is required. If you follow our maintenance instructions, you will be assured of a fine-looking product throughout the guaranteed time frame and well beyond that.
Our timber products are designed solely for internal use, and environments free of excess damp.
